Linda Johnson Miller

November 21, 1943 - January 5, 2022

Linda J. Miller, 78, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 5, 2022, surrounded in love by her family. She was born on November 21, 1943 to Haywood and Vestelle Johnson in Roanoke, Virginia then moved to Kissimmee in 1947. Linda graduated a “Kowboy” from Osceola High School, Kissimmee, Class of 1961. She then went on to receive a degree from Jones Business College in Orlando, Florida. She worked her way up the ranks and had a long and successful career in banking where she was affectionately known as “Linda from the bank” by much of Kissimmee. In addition to banking, her love to serve led her to also spend time as an Osceola County reserve deputy. Linda retired as Assistant Vice President from Florida Bank of Commerce in 2014. Some of Linda’s loves included her family, country music, animals, and sports. She cheered for many teams but most passionately for the Kowboys! She was a booster member for both the youth league and the high school program supporting her grandchildren as they grew up participating in both. She was a proud “Grammy” watching her grandson and granddaughter both play varsity sports for her Alma Mater! Once a Kowboy, Always a Kowboy! Linda is survived by her husband, Richard Miller; her brother, Jerry (Rosemary) Johnson, of Orlando; her daughter, Jennifer (Thomas) Liggeri of Kissimmee; her grandchildren, Gabriel Liggeri and Alexandra Liggeri both of Kissimmee. She will be missed by members of her blended family as well as by many other loving relatives and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Haywood and Vestelle Johnson. In remembrance of Linda Johnson Miller, the family asks those to consider making a charitable donation in her honor to the Osceola High School Sports Booster Program- 420 S. Thacker Ave. Kissimmee, FL 34741. Checks payable to: Osceola High School. Osceola Memory Gardens-Kissimmee at 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road Kissimmee, Florida 34744 is helping with arrangements.
