Gale Vaupell

May 11, 1954 - February 14, 2022

Gale Vaupell, age 67 passed away at her home with family members by her side in Kissimmee, FL on February 14, 2022. She put up a courageous fight against Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer which quickly spread to her Brain, Bone, Spine, Lung, Kidney and Liver. Beloved wife of Geoff for 46 years. Gale and Geoff met in 7th grade and started dating while they both attended Oak Park River Forest High School in Oak Park, IL. Geoff & Gale were married on February 14, 1976. Gale was a very proud Mom of Karrie Waszkowski and husband Kevin Waszkowski, Greg Vaupell and Kevin Vaupell (passed away on December 4, 2019). Gale was an amazing caregiver to her son Kevin and her husband. She made sure they both received the best care possible. She was extremely blessed and proud of her three grandchildren; Jeremy Vaupell, Paige Arturi and Mackenzie Vaupell. Gale is survived by her siblings; brother David Wuttke and wife Cathy Wuttke and sister Lynn Montanye and her husband Rod Montanye; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Colette and Everett Wuttke; and her son Kevin Vaupell. Gale loved working at Bath & Body Works and retired before she moved to Florida. She always looked forward to spending time with family and friends. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending as much time as possible at Walt Disney World.
