Antonia Hernandez Colon also known as “Tonita”, born December 10, 1925 returned to the loving arms of our Father on July 12, 2021 in the presence of her family at her home in Orlando, Florida. She was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She was a Christian wife, a mother and a friend to many along the Eastern Coast. She was grateful to be a loyal follower of Christ and member of the Rock of Salvation in Kissimmee, Florida where she attended with her daughter, Leticia Colon Alvarez and her husband Jose Alvarez. She is survived by her brother Miguel Lopez of New York and her sister, Rose Lopez Torres of Florida. She is survived by her sons, Jose Rafael Colon (Griselle) of New York and Jimmy Colon (Elizabeth) of Florida and her daughters, Leticia Colon Alvarez (Jose) of Florida and Nancy Colon Delgado (Joey) of Virginia. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Yamilette, daughter of Leticia Colon Alvarez; Jazmine, Edgar, Alexa, Jose Abdul, Moses, Jennifer and Ann, children of Jose Rafael Colon; Yesenia, Christian, children of her daughter Jazmine; Oneida, child of Jimmy Colon and Joey, Elilel and Nathan, children of Nancy Colon Delgado. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren and many god-children, nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. She was predeceased in death by her husband of 57 years, Jose Colon Cordova and by her brothers, William Aviles, Lucas Aviles and Daniel Lopez and her sisters, Romana Viola and Lilly Brazerro. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Jazmine Colon DeJesus, her granddaughter, Jocelyn DeJesus Weiner and grandsons, James and Christopher. Antonia enjoyed music and dancing together with her husband, Jose Colon Cordova who was a musician as well as fishing and crabbing. She enjoyed teaching her children and grandchildren dancing to the music of her Puerto Rican Culture. She was a seamstress who retired in 1982 from Seaside Blouse Company in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She enjoyed all types of activities with her family and friends. She enjoyed knitting blankets, scarfs, mittens and hats for many children and adults, mailing them to Connecticut after she relocated to Florida with her daughter, Leticia and her husband Jose Alvarez. Her passion was her savior, The Lord and her family. The viewing and service will be at Osceola Memory Gardens located at 1717 Old Boggy Creek Road, Kissimmee, Florida 34744 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m.
