Rafael R. Ortiz-Rosa, 88, of Kissimmee, Florida passed away on Sunday, July 11th, 2010 at his residence. Rafael was born in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico on March 20, 1922, the son of the late Felix Renato and Rosario (Rosa). He served in the U.S Army in Puerto Rico, Cuba, France, Korea, Japan and Germany. After serving in the army for 22 years, Rafael went to work for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Puerto Rico as a Cattle Inspector. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Lucy C. Ortiz; son, Rafael R. Ortiz-Collazo and his wife Phuong of Orlando, FL; 5 grandchildren: Rafael, Rosa, Emmanuel, Juan, Lina; 5 great-grandchildren: a brother, Frank Boria of Caguas, P.R., and sisters, Rosa and Matilde Boria. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Osceola Memory Gardens Funeral Home, Kissimmee.
